Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Level 3 Communications is a global communications provider headquartered in Broomfield, Colo., which delivers communications services to enterprise, government and carrier customers in more than 500 markets in over 60 countries. Our reliable and secure network provides scalable capabilities to address the needs of the increasingly complex operating environment of the technology landscape. The Level 3 portfolio of data, security, video, voice and unified communications solutions helps our customers address their most difficult IT challenges, while enabling the growth, efficiency and security of their businesses. The company was founded in 1997.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A:Relative to many companies in our competitive set, Level 3 does not benefit from the halo that comes with having a consumer brand. In recent years, as we have embarked on complementing our wholesale business by growing enterprise share, we have worked to build and execute a strategic brand platform to increase awareness in the marketplace.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
While we will continue to focus solely on our wireline business to serve the needs of our wholesale, government and enterprise customers, we have an opportunity to create greater familiarity of the strong portfolio of solutions, including managed and professional services that will help our customers grow their businesses in an efficient and secure manner.
