INCOMPAS Welcomes and Supports Health Care Broadband Expansion COVID-19 Act
 
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 22, 2020) – A bipartisan group of U.S. Senators, led by Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), introduced the Health Care Broadband Expansion During COVID-19 Act today. The bill allocates $2 billion to help health care providers increase their broadband capacity and expand telehealth services.
 
In response, Chip Pickering, CEO of INCOMPAS, released the following statement:

INCOMPAS is proud to support the bipartisan effort to boost broadband funding to hospitals and healthcare workers on the front lines of the crisis and recovery. COVID-19 disruptions have stretched hospital budgets and $2 billion in funding would help rural communities and expand telehealth remedies.
