INCOMPAS Statement on Rep. Greg Walden Retirement

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 28, 2019) – Today Representative Greg Walden (R-OR), the former Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced his plans to retire from public service at the end of this term.

In response, Chip Pickering, CEO of INCOMPAS, and a former Member of Congress who served with Rep. Walden, released the following statement.

“Like the towering trees of his Oregon home, Greg Walden has always stood tall above the fray to craft policies and politics that help unite our nation. With a steady voice, strong principles and sensible wisdom, Greg has built an enduring legacy around broadband, health and forestry policy that benefit the American people.

“It was an honor to serve with Greg in the House of Representatives, and I look forward to following his future endeavors.”
