Vice President, Federal Government Affairs
Thomas is vice president, Federal Government Affairs for Windstream, where he leads the company's engagement with federal agencies and the U.S. Congress. He joined Windstream from BT (British Telecom), where he was director, U.S. Government Affairs, and managed a range of issues including telecom regulation, international trade, cybersecurity and privacy. Prior to that he was a senior trade policy advisor at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., where he advised the British Ambassador and other U.K. government officials on digital economy and international trade matters, including telecom issues in trade negotiations.
Thomas has an advanced degree in international business and economic law from Georgetown University Law Center, a law degree from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Government from the College of William and Mary. He lives in Baltimore with his wife Hannah and is an avid sailor.
