5G and Wholesale Take Center Stage at The 2022 INCOMPAS Show
Zayo CEO Steve Smith Featured along with Executives from DISH, Brightspeed and Verizon as Annual Event Kicks Off October 24 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 28, 2022) – As the communications industry races to deploy wireless and fiber networks, service providers are working together in commercial collaborations and wholesale markets to expand the reach of broadband across the country. The impact of these partnerships will be explored during keynote sessions as The 2022 INCOMPAS Show kicks off October 24 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown.
Zayo CEO Steve Smith will be a featured keynote speaker, discussing Zayo’s nationwide deployment objectives, its role in the 5G rollout, and why streamlining deployment and removing historical barriers to market entry are critical to meeting the 5G timeline.
Also on the line-up is Tom Cullen, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at DISH, who will discuss what has been accomplished to meet key milestones in the 5G rollout, the importance of strategic partnerships with companies like Zayo and why adding terrestrial service to the 12 GHz band is critical to speeding deployment of 5G networks.

Wholesale markets are a hallmark for vibrant competition. Unleashing 12 GHz for the 5G Future
No resource is more important in the global race to 5G than spectrum, and in particular, mid-band spectrum. Industry and regulators have a unique opportunity to bring 500 megahertz of ideal mid-band spectrum to market by modernizing the rules in the 12 GHz band for terrestrial 5G. During this session, panelists will discuss this proceeding and what’s at stake. They’ll also explore how expanding the 12 GHz band is critical to establishing the 5G economy, creating jobs and helping advance the FCC’s goal of closing the digital divide.
