Lead, U.S. Federal Policy
Bakari Middleton is the lead for U.S. Federal Policy at Netflix, where he engages with policymakers and stakeholders on a broad array of issues critical to Netflix’s business. A tech and telecom veteran, Bakari previously served as Sen. Cory Booker’s Counsel for Technology and Communications Policy, where he was the principal policy advisor on technology issues before the Senate Commerce and Judiciary committees. Prior to the Senate, Bakari was an attorney at the FCC in the Wireline Bureau’s Competition Policy Division, working on issues affecting the competitive landscape of the telecommunications industry such as net neutrality, broadband privacy, merger reviews, and transitioning the nation’s telecom networks to IP technology.
Bakari earned a Bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
