INCOMPAS and Alliance of Channel Women to Host Strategy Session for Women in Tech at The 2019 INCOMPAS Show
Author Cheryl O’Donoghue and Tech Trailblazers Deb Ward and Nancy Ridge to Share Their Inspiring Stories and Action Steps to Maximize Your Career
WASHINGTON, D.C., and SANTA ANA, Calif. – October 2, 2019 – INCOMPAS, the Internet and competitive networks association, and Alliance of Channel Women, an organization empowering women to advance their careers in telecom and IT, will co-host a session based on the new book, “How to Be a Woman in Technology (While Focusing on What Matters Most)” during The 2019 INCOMPAS Show. The event will take place on Monday, Nov. 4, from 4p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Olmstead Ballroom at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Ky. The session will be followed by a networking reception.
In the ACW-led session, tech trailblazers Deb Ward, CEO of Televergence, and Nancy Ridge, co-founder of ACW and Founder & President at Ridge Innovative – both of whom were mentioned in the book – will share their inspiring stories and action steps to maximize your career. Additionally, throughout the program, the book’s author and program moderator, Cheryl O’Donoghue, will guide you on a journey exploring how you can leverage your unique talents, step into your own power as a woman in technology and connect with what matters most to you right now.
“ACW is delighted to partner with INCOMPAS for the third consecutive year to deliver programming that’s specifically for women in tech,” said ACW President Stacy Conrad, Director of Channel Sales for TPx Communications. “ACW members have responded enthusiastically to the guidance in O’Donoghue’s book, which features several of our members. We’re excited to bring this program to a broader audience of our peers.”
"Our collaboration with ACW to provide insightful sessions and practical advice for women seeking to advance in technology-oriented careers is one of the highlights of our annual show," said Angie Kronenberg, INCOMPAS Chief Advocate and General Counsel. "We are excited to bring together these leaders and entrepreneurs, and inspire the next generation of women leaders."
The first 200 guests will receive a copy of the book, “How to Be a Woman in Technology (While Focusing on What Matters Most)”, made possible through a generous donation by Televergence Solutions. Ward, Ridge and O’Donoghue also will be available to sign books for guests during the networking reception following the session.
Women attending the networking session must be registered for The 2019 INCOMPAS Show.
