Q: Please tell us about your company history. When was it founded? How has the company evolved since its founding? Have your services changed? Are there key milestones in your company’s history and growth that you can highlight?
Your single source “Carrier Neutral” provider for all your Local and Toll-Free Number Management. ATL Communications is America and Canada’s first and largest independent Responsible Organization, managing millions of toll-free and local numbers. Carriers, call centers, and enterprise clients have entrusted ATL Communications with the responsibility of managing and maintaining numbers and essential phone services with reliability and consistency since 1993. In 2015, ATL Communications became a pioneer in the VOIP industry by filing with the Federal Communications Commission on their behalf and gaining them the ability to maintain and manage their own local numbers. This momentous achievement means that ATL Communications was the first, and remains the only, “Neutral” and Independent Local Number Porting Service Bureau in the nation. ATL Communications offers Advanced Toll-free management though our Portal and API's, other vital services include Disaster Recovery, Least Cost Routing, Toll-free text and number search, query and reserve.

Q: Please tell us about company’s top executives and the work that they are doing in our industry.
Mark Bilton-Smith, President:
Mark Bilton-Smith has over 30 years in the Interconnect, CLEC and Data Center industry. His experience began in 1988 installing key and PBX business telephone systems then advanced into project management, engineering, training, maintenance, operations management, sales management, and business leadership. He has founded four telecom businesses, co-designed and turned up a 3mW Data center from the ground up and recently led a very successful CLEC restructuring and sale of a NW regional CLEC and Data Center at Rio Networks (Now InfoStructure and Cascade Divide). As president of ATL, he has overseen the launch of our new Local Number Porting services, and other exciting initiatives are in progress. 
Mark also Represents ATL at the LNP Work Group meeting as a voting member and is an advisory board member of SOMOS.

Brian Lynott, CEO:
As CEO of ATL, Brian incorporates the use and evaluation of technology into his team’s daily discussion of the mission-critical telecom ecosystem. An expert in telecommunications with an emphasis on telephony and VOIP, Brian Lynott has also presided over Telesmart, Inc since 1998 as a pioneer in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology. 
Brian is also a board member of SOMOS

Ali Bjanfar, Chief Technology Officer:
Ali has over 15+ years of experience in enterprise level software development and software lifecycle management. He received his Computer Science degree in Florida and has worked for large and small companies across the US. As CTO, Ali is passionate about infusing the latest technologies and cost saving automation into ATL Communications.
Ali was recently selected as a board member of ATIS.

Q: Explain your geographic reach. Where do you provide services?
ATL currently provides Local Number Porting services to customers in the United States and Toll-free number management services to customers in United States and Canada.

Q: What types of services do you offer your customers?
ATL provides toll free number management via our Portal and live customer service, disaster recovery for toll free, Least Cost Routing, toll free number search, and toll-free reservation services.  We have also just released PortingPro - local number porting simplified and LRNPro - LSMS Database services.

Q: What is your target customer base? Please include names of prominent customers and case study details.
ILEC’s, CLEC’s, and Interconnected VoIP providers with access to local number pooling, Carriers, businesses that own toll-free numbers, regional providers, VOIP providers – any entity that owns local or toll-free numbers.  As an independent and Neutral provider, we cannot divulge our customers.

Q: What are the biggest challenges that your company faces and how is your company overcoming these challenges?

Our company faces the same challenges of every company in the United States, we must remain relevant and stay ahead of the technology race, always looking to improve upon our products, services and customer service.  We engage as a team and with the customers we serve, we listen, adapt and improve.

Q: What are your competitive opportunities and threats?
Local Number Porting and Toll-free Management tools and services that outperform our competition. Constant change in the toll-free and local number landscape.    

Q: How is technology/new products and services impacting your business model?
ATL strives to use technology in a disruptive manner that benefits our current and future customers.  We seek to do things differently, to deliver greater value and a better customer service experience than the competition.  In order to stay ahead of the pack, we must constantly stay engaged with our customer and respond to their ever advancing needs.

Q: Have you recently acquired new customers? Entered new markets? Added new services/products?
Yes, to all the above. In 2017 ATL went through a top down management change, we signed a record number of new customer contracts, moved our office from Sunriver Oregon to Bend Oregon and introduced several game changing products to our portfolio including our Toll-free number management portal which removes complexities, maximizes productivity, enhances control, increases savings, and protect their toll free numbers; and our revolutionary new product, PortingPro. ATL Communications can help you with every step of the otherwise complicated Local Number Porting process. From LSR to SV activation and every step in between. We provide intuitive, powerful, easy to use tools, in a cross-platform browser interface (or API). This allows you to administer Local Number Pooling directly into NPAC. Q: Describe your relationship with INCOMPAS. How long have you been a member. Why did you decide to join the association? What are you looking to gain from your INCOMPAS membership (policy advocacy, new business, networking, education, etc)? 
We recently joined this year because Incompas is an independent and neutral advocate and supporter of the industry and businesses we are wanting to share our products and services with.
