Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Founded in 1996, Access Point Inc. is a complete business communications provider, offering services nationwide. In addition to our well-established local and long-distance services, we offer VoIP, integrated, Internet and managed data services.  We are one of the largest and most competitive CLECs in the industry and the scope of our product set, combined with a nationwide footprint, allows us to provide any service anywhere at the most competitive rates.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: We are a single point for voice and data services.  We offer one bill and one point of contact.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: We are working to change the perception that we only offer POTS services. We have very robust data and IP offerings as well.  Finding the best way to communicate this to the agent community has proven to be a challenge.
 
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: We are aggressively watching industry trends.  We continue to develop new products and services in order to stay ahead of business demands. The telecom environment changes rapidly and we are working diligently to meet customer requirements while providing quality services.

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A:
We are experts at replacing traditional telephony with IP solutions.  A large shift is underway in the telecommunications industry; many customers are transitioning from traditional telephone systems to Internet packet-based networks or VoIP.  We have perfected this implementation process.  Because of our complete portfolio of services and industry experience, we can help determine whether it would be a better strategy to replace your existing system altogether, or use existing components as a base to build a hybrid system which combine both VoIP and PSTN elements.
