Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: TNCI Operating Company started operation in early 2013, when it combined the network and operations of Trans National Communications, Point One and PacWest Telecom. TNCI offers nationwide integrated communications solutions for business, including Telastic Hosted Voice, local phone service in all 50 states, long distance, multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), dedicated Internet access (DIA) and more. The TNCInet™ Advantage private IP network offers small to medium-sized businesses converged solutions with DIA, integrated voice and dedicated long distance. TNCI also offers an expansive wholesale footprint and services.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: TNCI Operating Company is successful because we are entrepreneurial and able to adjust services to market changes and specialized customer requirements.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: The biggest obstacle has been perception about the new TNCI Operating Company.  TNCI Operating Company is a new company with no debt; however, many people do not realize our strength.  Having purchased two companies’ assets out of bankruptcy some people still associate TNCI Operating Company with the legacy companies.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: It is vitally important for TNCI Operating Company to continue to evolve as the communications industry and customer requirements evolve.  Customers continually want expanded services, mobility and efficiencies, and it is essential that TNCI be at the forefront of the industry.  Many times customers do not know the features or services that can give them a competitive advantage and TNCI can be a valuable partner by helping them bring best-in-class communications services to their business.

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: TNCI launched our Telastic hosted voice product for retail and wholesale customers. Telastic moves TNCI from a traditional telephone company to a best-in-class cloud communications company, allowing our customers to experience the best features at great rates.  Equally important, the TNCI Telastic platform enables our wholesale customers to deliver best-in-class features, while increasing their own gross margin.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
It is vital to the telecom market for competitive carriers to band together in our drive to keep access to the consumers and access to the public switched telephone communications infrastructure at fair and reasonable rates, terms and conditions.  No one company can do it alone, but together we pool resources and win.
