Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Founded in 1998, TelNet Worldwide is a leading provider of essential business communications products and services, including converged voice, data and connectivity solutions. Offering the combined advantages of a traditional TDM-based network and next-generation, IP-based technologies, TelNet's customer-focused team empowers businesses to improve productivity, streamline processes and save money with smart business communications solutions.
Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Innovation, flexibility, and the ability to deliver a better overall customer experience are just a few of TelNet’s strong suits. We have leveraged our technology and experience as a wholesale provider to bring advantages to underserved small to medium sized businesses. TelNet’s 24/7 personal customer care and system support provide a distinct advantage to our customers. In addition, being based in Michigan with a robust statewide network makes TelNet uniquely capable of providing a higher level of service to Michigan businesses.
Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: The economic climate and our limited brand awareness have impacted our ability to reach more businesses that could benefit from our services. We are not the ‘big guys’ by design. TelNet had established itself as a quality wholesale provider and we are now building our name recognition in the business to business arena. Given a chance to demonstrate our value and world-class care, we can typically overcome customer concerns and provide the quality service and exceptional customer experience that helps businesses compete.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: We have a strong team and plan for sustained growth in place and have been able to expand in a time when others are flailing. The challenge is to promote our brand recognition, reach more of our target business niche and establish ourselves as their provider of choice. TelNet also is engaged in changing regulatory factors that hinder competition so customers continue to have better choices.
Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: At TelNet, we are proud of our accomplishments, direction of growth and innovation. We continue to add value to a growing list of business customers, from large enterprise accounts, to the small and mid-sized businesses that we serve so well. Recent milestones include:
• Proven leadership team is in place with a solid growth plan;
• Strategic network and technology investments have expanded our reach and capabilities to deliver better services more affordably;
• Introduction of feature-rich IP-based services, including dynamic integrated voice & data, PRI and SIP trunking products, allow for improved efficiency and productivity; and
• Superior Contact, our full service 24/7 contact management center, was re-launched with a robust new product set and enhanced call center services
