Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Established in 2007, Alluvion Communications is a CLEC operating a fiber optic and wireless transport network in the greater Phoenix/Tucson metro area.  Alluvion Communications offers wholesale services, retail services, hosted PBX services, foreign exchange services, long distance, Tier 1 Internet access and metro Ethernet services.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Alluvion Communications offers exceptional customer service, super competitive pricing and superior network performance. Moreover, Alluvion is easy to do business with and exceedingly responsive to customer needs.  We are an underlying carrier for a top recognized wireless provider with metro Ethernet service, and provide dial tone and Internet access for a local cable TV provider.  Alluvion Communications is the local business services, Internet access and foreign exchange service provider to a newly opened, internationally recognized name brand premium outlet mall located in metro southwest Phoenix.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: Dealing with the incumbent local monopoly provider, CenturyLink.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: Expanding a network footprint to a national presence. But we have a plan on how to accomplish this task.

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: Alluvion Communications provides fiber optic-based metro Ethernet service to Verizon Wireless in parts of AZ RSA5, is the underlying voice and data carrier for Orbitel Communications, a CATV provider and the primary service provider to over 80 name brand recognized retail outlets at the recently opened Phoenix Premium Outlet.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: COMPTEL has members with a similar profile as Alluvion Communications (i.e., wireline-based CLECs), which allows access to similarly situated companies for industry analysis and experience.  COMPTEL has a recognized presence in the national regulatory arena in Washington, D.C., which enables Alluvion to join the voice of many.
